Mr. Casey Hurt

Mr. Casey Hurt currently serves as the Technical Director for the Cloud Computing Program Office in the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), Office of the Chief Information Officer. In this role, Mr. Hurt is responsible for the strategic technical direction of the Joint Enterprise Defense Infrastructure (JEDI Cloud) program, along with numerous other DoD Enterprise Cloud initiatives to include Commercial Virtual Remote (CVR) and Global Directory. . 

Prior to this role, Mr. Hurt served as the technical director for the DISA Computing Ecosystem, overseeing the operations and administration of the Enterprise DISA DataCenters. He also provided critical security engineering and operations support for the 2017 Presidential Inauguration and has supported two Presidential Administrations as the Information Systems Security Manager for the White House’s Unclassified networks and secure, classified mobility devices. 

Mr. Hurt has over 24 years of enterprise IT experience in both the private and public sector focusing on end-to-end system engineering and security engineering. This includes 12+ years at Harris Corporation working numerous internal and contract efforts to include work on HDRadio, network truncation technology, and support of USPS, DOJ, and DOE customers. Mr. Hurt received the Meritorious Civilian Service Award in August of 2017 for his support of the Presidential Transition, was recognized by the DOD CIO in September 2020 as part of the CVR team, and was selected as a 2021 Federal 100 award winner.
